Public library funding crisis resolved
(Buchanan, GA - February 10, 2008)
Mayor Benjamin Biggers is delighted to report last year's impasse
with City funding of the public library is resolved at long last. In
January, it was his pleasure to present this important civic facility
with a check for $10,800. He hopes that the City Council will continue
to fully fund this important amenity in the years to come, which enjoys
thousands of visits monthly and makes the City a more attractive place
to live and do business.

Mayor Biggers says:
Income tax time is now upon us. I would urge everyone, those
owning tax and those not, to make some donation to the library.
The Friends of the Library is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated
to helping the library, and making a tax-deductible contribution
to it is an excellent way to insure that more of your substance
will support a worthy purpose in the local community, rather than
going somewhere else.
